State College, Pa. — It’s been a little more than two weeks since Michigan State collapsed in the final minutes at home against Maryland.
At that point, the Spartans had lost four of five and coach Tom Izzo was talking publicly about the fact any chances of winning even a share of a third straight Big Ten title were likely gone. Inside the locker room, however, Izzo told his players the real deal.
