Antonio Gates Jr. said he doesn’t mind all the comparisons.

Gates’ father, once a two-sport standout at Detroit Central, is a likely Pro Football Hall of Famer as one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the game.

“Not really,” said the younger Gates, a junior wideout at Dearborn Fordson. “I kind of do play like him. I’m in high school, so I’m kind of ahead of him when it comes to football.”

When it comes to playing college football, it looks like there won’t be a comparison.
