Another top 15 win bears more Big Ten Player of the Week honors for our Spartans.
After a 3-of-4 kicking day that including burying a 48-yard field goal to take the lead with 3:35 left, Matt Coghlin earned Big Ten Special Teams Co-Player of the Week honors. This marks the third time in Coghlin’s career that he has earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors (2017 vs. Penn State, 2018 vs. Indiana).
On the defensive side, to no surprise, Antjuan Simmons took home Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors after his 13 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack performance.
