From the jump, Michigan State basketball was never in danger of losing to Toledo, but you just know that Tom Izzo wasn’t pleased with the second-half performance as the Spartans cruised to a 92-69 win.
While Michigan State “cruised” to a big win, it felt like it was coasting in the second half.
After building a 32-point lead in the second half, Michigan State just looked checked out in the final 15, or so, minutes with turnovers, missed open shots, and just lazy defense. That can’t happen moving forward, and Izzo will likely address that in the post-game.
