The Latest Michigan State Recruiting News And Rumors On Offers, Lavert Hill And More

We're just one day away from National Signing Day on February 3rd, which means head coach Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans are focusing their efforts in hopes of delivering a great 2016 recruiting class. With that in mind, here are the latest news and rumors you need to know for Michigan State Football Recruiting with one day until National Signing Day.

MSU Makes Late Offer
The Spartans visited three-star TE/DE Jalen Cochran late last week, and he picked up an offer during that visit. Cochran spoke with 247Sports about the offer.

"I just heard the news so I got to go over my options, but this certainly does affect my decision from now till signing day," Cochran said.

The No. 27 overall recruit holds offers from Arizona, Iowa and Iowa State, among others.

Michigan Commit Still Considering Spartans
Four-star guard Michael Onwenu has been committed to Michigan since June, but recently told The Detroit News he was still considering Michigan State. Onwenu will make his decision Tuesday night. However, he's still expected to end up at Michigan.

Lavert Hill Sets Decision Time
Hill is arguably the top target left for Michigan State. Today, Hill announced on Twitter that he would make his decision at 9 a.m. It's down to Penn State, Michigan State and Michigan as the three teams fighting for Hill. The four-star DB's brother plays at Michigan and they are considered the favorites. However, several of Hill's friends are going to Michigan State and the Spartans could end up finding a way to land Hill. Download the Chat Sports Android and iPhone app for all the Michigan State recruiting updates you need.
