Urena tosses six solid innings as Marlins get rain-delayed victory over Reds

Fireworks. That’s what any logical thinking person might have anticipated Friday night at Great American Ball Park when the Marlins showed up to face the Reds.

The teams with the most porous starting pitching staffs in the National League.

Two teams each boasting THREE sluggers with at least 20 home runs.

A bandbox of a ballpark.

The ingredients were all there.

But, in the end, the only fireworks were the ones shot off into the sky following a — surprise, surprise — pitching-dominated 3-1 Marlins win in which no ball left the park. It was just the fourth homer-less game at Great American this season.
