Rowson served as Marlins acting manager from July 31 through August 11. The club went 4-8 in those games while facing the Yankees, Mets, Rockies and Padres. To be fair, though, Rowson was hamstrung by an active roster that had less talent than at any other point in the season as a result of trades, injuries and illnesses.
