The Miami Marlins Newest All-Star: Sandy Alcantara Represents

The 90th edition of the Major League Baseball All Star Game will be played on July 9th, at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. It should almost go without saying, but the rosters of the American and National League are filled with literal all stars. Four of them are former members of the Miami Marlins organization. Brad Hand, Christian Yelich, J.T. Realmuto, and Luis Castillo will appear on the rosters of their respective leagues.

Representing the Miami Marlins will be right-handed starter Sandy Alcantara. Notably, Alcantara has been selected to fill the National League’s roster while Marcell Ozuna, for whom he had been traded, was not.
