Mother Nature has decided once again that the Miami Marlins should have a day off from baseball.
The Marlins’ series opener against the New York Mets on Monday night was postponed because of inclement weather. A doubleheader will take place at Citi Field on Wednesday, with the first game beginning at 4:10 p.m.
It’s the Marlins’ second consecutive game that has been postponed, with their series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates also being called off. That game is set to be played on Oct. 1, the day after the conclusion of the regular season.
