Straily suffers worst start since joining Marlins in lopsided loss to Rangers

Dan Straily hasn’t been nearly as sharp post All-Star break as he was in his first half season with the Marlins.

The Rangers tagged Straily for three solo home runs, and hit four overall as the Marlins suffered a 10-4 loss to the Rangers at Globe Life Park.

The six earned runs, 10 hits, and three home runs (all solo) each were season-highs for Straily, who struck out one batter in four innings (70 pitches).

Straily bruised his thumb when he got jammed, swinging the bat during his first start after the All-Star break on July 14.
