The Marlins got beat soundly in yesterday's game. The Pirates jumped on Richards in the fifth inning. Miami’s offense looked real bad against one of the worse pitching teams in the league.
The Marlins were able to get 9 hits against the Pirates. None of these base-runners ever made it past home plate. The Marlins had multiple chances to do something, most of the time it was ended with a strike out. One of the biggest moments was in bottom of the third. Jorge Alfaro was up with the bases loaded, two outs, and struck out on a pitch up in the zone.
