Monte Harrison: Marlin on the Rise

In the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected outfielder Monte Harrison out of Lee’s Summit West High School in Missouri.

Harrison was originally set to go to Nebraska to pursue a career in both baseball and football, but the $700,000 draft bonus the Brewers offered him was too much to turn away.

The outfielder came over from the Brewers to Miami over the offseason in the deal that sent Christian Yelich to Milwaukee and sent Lewis Brinson, Isan Diaz Jordan Yamamoto and Monte Harrison to south beach.
