MLBPA Players Trust, KaBOOM! building new playground in Opa-locka

The Major League Baseball Players Association Players Trust is teaming with the national nonprofit KaBOOM! to build a new playground on the grounds of the Room2Bloom Community Development Center in (Miami) Opa-locka.

Former Major Leaguers Cliff Floyd, Jeffrey Hammonds and Charles Johnson of the MLBPA Players Trust joined Imani Jackson, the project manager of KaBOOM!; Pamela James, center director of Room2Bloom; Melissa Persaud, director of the MLBPA Players Trust; the Room2Bloom staff; the Room2Bloom kids and their parents; and Opa-locka city staff for a Design Day on Tuesday, May 9 at the center.
