After losing in three different, painful ways the past three nights, Miami was solid in all three phases tonight and gave the home crowd something to smile about as the Marlins won their first game at home this season by a final score of 6-1.
Jose Fernandez took a page out of the book on what I suspect an effective Jarred Cosart would like; were we ever to see him: Tons of pitches and a good amount of strikeouts. He had 64 pitches through two innings, 70 pitches through three innings, 85 through four.
