Diaz was promoted from the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to the New Orleans Baby Cakes yesterday. In his first triple-A game action against the Oklahoma City Dodgers, he was 0-for-3 with a walk.
Cito Culver
The Baby Cakes moved Cito Culver to the seven-day disabled list. Culver, a shortstop, is slashing .219/.284/.307 in 67 triple-A games.
Jose Pena
Jose Pena, a right-handed pitcher from Guayubin in the Dominican Republic, was assigned from the Baby Cakes to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
