The Miami Marlins got a chance to see Brian Anderson’s talent up close and personal last season at the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game at Marlins Park last season during All-Star weekend. This year, they will have a chance to see how prospect Jorge Guzman is as he was selected to participate in the game in Nationals Park.
The Miami Marlins acquired Guzman as part of the deal that sent Giancarlo Stanton to the New York Yankees this offseason. As a member of the Jupiter Hammerheads, Guzman’s ability could mean another star pitcher is being groomed to play on the Major League level in the next few seasons.
