After a slow start for the Miami Marlins No. 7 minor league prospect according to Baseball Pipeline, Isan Diaz has steadily progressed at the Double-A level, prompting the parent club to make the decision.
Per Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, Diaz had a slash line of .245/.365/.418 with 10 home runs and 42 RBIs for the Jumbo Shrimp. MLB Pipeline also ranks Diaz as the No. 4 second-base prospect in the Minors.
Those kinds of numbers will help him face tougher pitching on the next level.
I had the opportunity to see Diaz in person on many occasions and was impressed with his bat and power for the 5-foot-10, 185-pound slugger.
