Ichiro Suzuki set the record for most runs scored by a Japanese player on Saturday. Suzuki is stepping in for the injured Christian Yelich, and according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, has impressed owner Jeffrey Loria.
"Aside from his unsurpassed skills, he's brought a new level of professionalism," Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria said. "He's an amazing player."
Miami topped the Nationals on Sunday afternoon and earned their first sweep of the season.
