The Marlins fell 5-4 to the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday at Roger Dean stadium, bringing their spring record to 7-5. Braxton Lee, Derek Dietrich and Tomas Telis all picked up a couple hits. Yadiel Rivera hit a triple, and Isaac Galloway stayed hot with a single in a pinch-hit appearance later in the game.
Jose Urena got the start and went three innings with a couple K’s, a couple walks and a couple hits, and only one run given up. Brad Ziegler got in there with a hit and strikeout, but Caleb Smith was touched up a bit in his three innings, give up three earned runs on five hits, walking one and striking out a trio.
