MIA 4, NYM 0; Daniel Castano, Marlins blank Mets in doubleheader opener

Daniel Castano was frustrated at Don Mattingly on Tuesday when the Marlins manager pulled his left-hander out of the ballgame with runners on first and second and two down in the fifth inning. Despite failing to qualify for his first professional victory, Castano was effective in the Marlins’ 4-0 shutout win, holding a New York Mets lineup to six hits over 4 23 innings of work to begin a doubleheader at Citi Field.
