Marlins set to add more prospects to their 40-man roster

The Miami Marlins are once again making moves to help the organization’s future. After trimming the team’s 40-man roster and outrighting three players to the minors, the front office is set to promote top prospects as replacements.

Per Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, “The organization announced backup catcher Bryan Holaday, reliever Drew Rucinski, and Minor League left-hander Miguel Del Pozo have been outrighted to Triple-A New Orleans.”

Our own Kevin Kraczkowski wrote about these changes on Marlin Maniac. These moves along with others made earlier in the month, reduce Miami’s 40-man roster to 31, clearing space to add several of the organization’s top prospects.
