Marlins Rotation Prospects 2024: RHP Delvis Alegre

The Miami Marlins minor league system runs seven layers deeper than just parent club talent. Delvis Alegre, who turns 19-years-old today, has spent most of the past two seasons with the Rookie-level DSL Marlins in the Dominican Summer League.

Right-hander Alegre was initially signed by the Marlins on July 2nd, 2017 while still just 16-years-old, and didn’t make his first professional appearance with the DSL Marlins until the 2018 campaign. He was 1-2 with a 3.06 ERA in 14 games, including five starts. He struck out 36 batters in 47 innings, walking 15 and finishing with a WHIP of 1.
