Leading up to the Sunday 4 p.m. ET deadline, we’re monitoring the news and rumors related to the Marlins setting their initial 60-man Player Pool for the 2020 MLB season.
The pool is not set in stone. Players who test positive for COVID-19 or suffer a significant injury that lands them on the 45-day IL can be removed, making room for others to be added. However, a waived/released player won’t be eligible to rejoin the pool in 2020.
The vast majority of Miami’s 60 Player Pool picks are expected to be invited to Spring Training 2.
