It was inevitable, but the Marlins (72-81) were finally eliminated from postseason contention on Friday. That became official once the Rockies defeated the Padres to end a four game losing streak. To top off the night, the Marlins lost a shootout to the Diamondbacks (89-65) by the score of 13-11.
Adam Conley started the game for the Fish and things didn't go so well. He was given a two run cushion in the top of the first on a Marcell Ozuna home run but that didn't last long.
