Marlins, Nationals Talk Once Again About J.T. Realmuto

J.T. Realmuto is the Miami Marlins most valuable player and most desirable trade piece with two days remaining until the MLB non-waiver trade deadline. While the price might be steep in grabbing the All-Star, it’s possible the Nationals are once again putting their best sales pitch forward.

Per Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, “According to sources, the asking price remains extremely high. The Marlins covet both of Washington’s top two prospects — outfielder Victor Robles and shortstop Carter Kieboom — in whatever package is presented.”

It’s hard to imagine the Nationals, who lost to the Marlins 5-0 on Sunday, would accept such a demand given the team is still building for its future with the possibility of losing outfielder Bryce Harper this offseason.
