Dan Straily struck out eight batters in only five innings last night, and the Marlins collected a whopping 19 hits as they blew out the Mets. The big blow that got things started was Giancarlo Stanton's 55th long ball of the season, a three-run shot off Matt Harvey that traveled 455 feet.
Miguel Rojas strained his left shoulder in Sunday's loss, and is listed as day-to-day. The issue has plagued him throughout the season, and it may require treatment in the off-season.
It is now doubtful that third baseman Martin Prado will return to action for the Marlins this season after hurricane Irma halted his rehab process for nearly a week.
