Marlins morning news: Big front office haul

In the first major move since taking over at the helm of the Marlins, Derek Jeter has reportedly hired Yankees Vice President of Player Development Gary Denbo to run scouting and player development for Miami. In three years, Denbo turned New York's farm system around, and he could be relied on to identify the best young talent in return for some of the team's biggest stars this winter if they are traded, including Giancarlo Stanton, the NL MVP candidate and Hank Aaron Award finalist.

Another important move that could be coming relatively soon is a stadium naming rights deal, which would provide a much needed alternate revenue source.
