When the Miami Marlins expand their Major League roster on Friday, two players, Sixto Sanchez and Jorge Guzman, do not figure to be part of the movement.
Per MLB.com, the number of innings both pitchers have thrown this season has a lot to do with the front office decision. Sanchez, the Marlins top-ranked prospect, has proven to be a potential future ace of this staff, but because of his development and the team keeping tabs on his progression, having him move three tiers within the organization this season maybe a little too much to ask.
