ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Another day, another Marlin on the disabled list.
A day after losing two more of their infield starters to injury, the Marlins’ bullpen took a hit when setup reliever Kyle Barraclough landed on the 10-day DL with right shoulder impingement.
The Marlins recalled right-hander Drew Steckenrider from Triple A New Orleans.
Barraclough last pitched on Monday tossing a scoreless eighth inning in the Marlins’ 4-0 shutout of the Rangers.
Barraclough and Junichi Tazawa have pitched in the seventh and eighth innings as a bridge to closer A.J. Ramos since David Phelps was traded this past Thursday.
