Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro listed as day-to-day

On the heels of an 8-6 win over the New York Mets, the Miami Marlins have announced that catcher Jorge Alfaro is listed as day-to-day when he suffered a calf injury Friday night.

The win for the Marlins snapped a seven-game losing streak.

As MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro reported, “Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro suffered a mild left calf strain while running the bases in the fourth inning on Saturday afternoon and was listed as day to day.”

He was replaced during the game by Chad Wallach. Alfaro was acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies in the deal prior to the start of Spring Training that sent catcher J.
