Lots of rookies in the news this Tuesday, including Marlins CEO Derek Jeter.

The Marlins dropped both games of yesterday’s doubleheader. They were outscored 15-2 overall.

Pablo López was on the mound for Game 1. He struggled in the middle innings after good execution the first time through the order, charged with five earned runs over 5 13 innings pitched. The Marlins offense only mustered up one run provided by an Isaac Galloway double.

Merandy Gonzalez made his first MLB start during Game 2. He settled down after a long opening inning and didn’t walk any Braves the entire night.
