After an extremely deliberate negotiating process, the Marlins are on the verge of completing a trade with the Phillies centered around catcher J.T. Realmuto, their best player. Right-hander Sixto Sanchez and catcher Jorge Alfaro would be going to Miami if the deal gets finalized, plus an additional prospect or two.
Have now heard from 2 sources that Realmuto to #Phillies is down to physical reviews and 3d piece beyond Alfaro/Sanchez. But I have NOT been told anything is final.
