The Miami Marlins Class-A Advanced affiliate, the Jupiter Hammerheads, may have fallen 9-4 to the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Saturday evening, but it did not slow down the progress of shortstop Jose Devers. The team’s No. 12 prospect in the organization continues to raise his average at the plate while demonstrating he could be the team’s shortstop of the future in a couple of seasons.
Devers was part of a list by MLB.com of top performers in the minors from Saturday night.
