In transactional news, the Miami Marlins finally signed fourth overall pick and College World Series hero J.J. Bleday, competitive balance round pick, outfielder Kameron Misner, and RHP Chris Mokma. The signings mean that the Marlins first 19 picks are all now under contract. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp placed second baseman Justin Twine on the seven-day injured list and shortstop Bryson Brigman joined the club from the Jupiter Hammerheads. Second baseman Alvaro Montero was then assigned to the Hammerheads from the GCL Marlins.
