Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers is the near-unanimous winner of the 2018 MVP Award, earning 29 of 30 first-place votes. Jacob DeGrom garnered the lone holdout, but Javier Baez had 19 second-place votes and finished second overall.
Yelich won on the heels of a terrific final two months which saw him hit 21 home runs, score 46 runs, and knock in 53 while slashing .335/.434/.728 and nine stolen bases. Those numbers would help him lead the league with a .326 average, .598 SLG, 1.000 OPS, 164 OPS+, and 343 total bases.
