On Monday morning, the GCL Marlins hosted the 5-5 GCL Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium, and dropped a 4-1 decision.
Jarred Cosart (0-1, 6.00) started for the rookie team on a rehab assignment, and took the loss by allowing two earned runs on five hits in three innings. Alvaro Seijas (2-0, 1.50) earned the victory for the Cards, pitching six innings of one-run ball.
