Early this afternoon, the GCL Marlins hosted the GCL Mets (7-5) at Roger Dean Stadium, and dropped a 3-1 decision.
Colby Suggs started, and pitched a perfect inning before giving way to Humberto Mejia (1-1, 1.42). Mejia allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits and a walk in 3.2 innings. Luis Silva (1-1, 2.45) earned the win for the Junior Mets, striking out five and allowing two hits and a walk in seven very solid innings of work.
