Minor League Baseball announced that 85 of its 120 full-season affiliates will participate in Copa de la Diversión next year, an initiative celebrating Latino communities. However, Marlins affiliates are conspicuously absent from the list. Weird.
Marlins minor league affiliates went a combined 8-10 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday:
- Triple-A—Jacksonville 2, Norfolk 7; Jacksonville 7, Norfolk 3; Jacksonville 10, Norfolk 3
- Double-A—Pensacola 3, Rocket City 2; Pensacola 0, Rocket City 4; postponed (COVID-related contract tracing)
