A lot of unfamiliar players will report to Marlins spring training next week. Who are they?

They don’t hand out scorecards listing player names for spring training workouts.

But this might be a good year for them when the Marlins open camp Wednesday.

In the wake of a full-scale roster makeover over the winter, a lot of new and unfamiliar faces will be trying to make an impression when Marlins open camp in Jupiter.

The Marlins on Thursday announced that 28 non-roster players, a number that includes 15 players signed to minor-league free agent contracts, have received spring invites. They’ll join players on the team’s 40-man roster, bringing to 68 the number of players who will be in big-league camp.
