UM's Navaughn Donaldson suddenly the center of attention on 'Canes offensive line

Hurricanes offensive lineman Navaughn Donaldson shifted to center earlier this year in the wake of an injury to teammate Corey Gaynor. Here, Donaldson discusses what goes into making such a move.

In one of his first meetings with his new players, Hurricanes assistant coach Butch Barry made it a point to stress the need for versatility when playing on his offensive line.

Barry, who joined the Miami staff earlier this year after four seasons as an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recounted the tough challenge he faced with his former team when all three of the Buccaneers’ centers were hurt in the same game and another lineman was forced to shift to center and handle all the responsibilities that come with playing that high-profile spot on the line.
