Jeff Thomas isn’t one for impassioned locker room speeches or animated chats in front of reporters, recorders and television cameras.
But the soft-spoken receiver who found himself at the center of a storm late last season couldn’t help but smile on Tuesday after he and the Miami Hurricanes wrapped up their 10th practice of the spring.
“Everybody’s having fun and everybody’s coming together as a team again,” Thomas said. “It’s really great.”
“Great” was a word Thomas used repeatedly on Tuesday when he met with reporters for the first time since his brief — and dramatic — departure from the Hurricanes.
