Not long after his unit allowed just three points, 22 rushing yards, notched three sacks and collected 15 tackles for a loss last Saturday, Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Manny Diaz didn't mince words, saying his players would be "horrified" when they watched the film from Miami's 70-3 win over FAMU.
As the 25th-ranked Hurricanes continue their preparations for Saturday's game against FAU his words have somewhat proven prophetic.
Miami's defensive line, a unit depleted by injuries to Anthony Moten and Courtel Jenkins, as well as the dismissal of end Al-Quadin Muhammad, still sees plenty of room for improvement.
