Tyler Van Dyke expected to start for the Hurricanes against Seminoles

MIAMI GARDENS — The Hurricanes expected to get arguably their most important player back from injury on Saturday.

Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who missed Miami’s win over Virginia last week with an injury, is expected to start for Miami against Florida State on Saturday, a source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. The third-year sophomore warmed up with the team before their rivalry game against Florida State.

Van Dyke left the Hurricanes’ loss to Duke with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Miami coach Mario Cristobal said Wednesday that Van Dyke participated in practice and was “getting better every single day.
