Two players no longer with Hurricanes at the start of fall camp

CORAL GABLES — Linebacker Sam Brooks Jr. and offensive lineman Cleveland Reed Jr. are no longer with the Hurricanes, a UM spokesperson said Friday.

Both players were left off the roster at the start of fall camp, which began Friday.

Reed, a fifth-year lineman, played in 15 games for the Hurricanes. Last season, he appeared in five games. He played 43 snaps last season — 28 on the offensive line and 15 on special teams. Most of his work came against Central Connecticut State.

Reed, a Fort Meade native, was a four-star prospect in the 2018 class.
