Texas A&M had six possessions on the Miami side of the field, but lost 10-3 in the first round of the College Football Playoffs on Saturday. The Aggies got as far as the Hurricanes' 31 three times and in the red zone twice, but only scored three points.
Texas A&M went 32 yards in 12 plays over 5:43 in its opening drive before stalling at the Miami 43-yard line. Miami held Texas A&M running back E.J. Smith to a one-yard gain on third and seven from their own 38. Texas A&M right tackle Trey Zuhn III was called for a false start on fourth down and the Aggies punted.
