Several players currently on the Miami football roster are getting valuable time in the Sunday night scrimmages that would not have previously received under past Hurricanes’ coaching staffs. Miami head coach Manny Diaz came up with an innovative plan that should pay dividends in 2020 and future seasons.
Among the players Diaz expects to benefit are the freshman defensive tackle trio of Jared Harrison-Hunte, social media sensation Jalar Holley and Jason Blisset, in addition to freshman linebacker Avery Huff. It was announced earlier this season that Huff and freshman defensive lineman Cameron Williams are academic redshirts.
