Sheldrick Redwine surprisingly first Miami Hurricanes player selected in NFL Draft

Bernie Kosar’s team is becoming a landing spot for former Miami Hurricanes. Sheldrick Redwine joins Chad Thomas, Duke Johnson and Olivier Vernon and David Njoku with the Cleveland Browns. Redwine’s selection as the first Miami player taken in 2019 was shocking. Three other Hurricanes were projected to go ahead of him.

Defensive tackle Gerald Willis and defensive end Joe Jackson continued to plummet in Saturday’s fourth round. Redwine’s partner at safety since pee-wee football Jaquan Johnson was ranked about equal with Redwine.
