Jaquan Johnson has received a plethora of honors entering 2018. He is on the watch list for four postseason awards. In addition to being named to the Associated Press and ESPN’s preseason All-America teams, Johnson was previously named a first-team All-American by Athlon Sports and UPI.
Johnson led the Hurricanes in tackles and forced fumbles in 2017. He also tied for the team lead in interceptions, interception returns for touchdowns and fumble recoveries last season. Johnson’s dominance on the back end of the Miami defense led them to be one of the most dominant in the country in 2017.
