Report: Njoku moving to tight end for Miami

According to a tweet he sent on Tuesday morning, Miami redshirt sophomore Evidence Njoku is now playing tight end for the Hurricanes.

Njoku was struggling to crack the depth chart while working in his third season on campus at wide receiver.

In 2017, he suffered a season-ending injury in mid-October and took a redshirt year. He played in eight games in 2018, making just one catch for 11 yards in the season finale against Pittsburgh.

Evidence’s older brother David Njoku saw action in two seasons at tight end for Miami in 2015 and 2016 before being drafted in the first round (29th overall) by the Cleveland Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft.
