Corey Gaynor didn’t need much time to think about it after the offer came through.
When the Hurricanes told the Douglas offensive lineman they wanted him, he jumped right in.
“Miami was a school that I always wanted to play for as a kid,” Gaynor said. “I’ve got the opportunity to play for them now and having Mark Richt as the head coach is completely changing this program around. It’s just a great opportunity.”
Gaynor, a 6-foot-5, 285-pound guard who earned first-team All-County honors from the Sun Sentinel, had previously committed to Minnesota and also received interest from West Virginia, UCF, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State, among others.
